BT's traditional ISDN and PSTN network will be fully retired by January 2027. Every business using a traditional landline will need to switch to a VoIP-based alternative. Here's what you need to know.
BT Openreach is retiring the Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN) and ISDN services across the UK. This means traditional analogue phone lines, ISDN2 lines, and ISDN30 circuits will all stop working.
New ISDN lines stopped being sold in September 2023. The full switch-off is scheduled for January 2027. After that date, all voice calls in the UK will be carried over IP (internet) networks.
This affects every business with a traditional phone line — even if you have a simple single-line landline.
We make the migration simple. Create an account, pick your numbers or port your existing ones, and your new phone system is live in minutes. No engineers, no site visits, no long contracts.
